Hi Roy

Welcome back ...sorry to here of you mates passing sounds like he has gone to the right place mate I,O,M.

Thanks for that info as just gone in and ordered both front and back Sprockets ...... did Not say anything about how long it would take to get here but at least then it should all be good............

As for the running of the bike I have sorted it and it run`s fine with no real issues so I am well pleased there is No flat spots around the 4,000 at all now but a bit of a flaff when starting up from cold on the left side but as soon as Hot No Problems, I have been playing around with the Mixture screws a lot as first time out on the over run it was popping and banging ..that turned a few heads :) but I have got it spot on now as the spark plugs are just the right Colour so Not running rich or weak....... so when I go out on it I don`t have any problems other than trying to get my head around the rev`s as at about 60 mph its doing around 6,000 revs....sounds like I am revving the guts out so to speak :) as Not used to having a bike that rev`s as high as that before.... that is one reason I wanted to put a 17 T front sprocket on to see if I bring the rev`s down,,,but Might be a bit of a tall order with going up 2 Teeth...so as I say just ordered the 15T and the 35T ...so thanks again Roy :)

Oh the Needles that I have Now got in are about 5mm longer that the ones Ash gave me to try.....they were with the bike when I got it.

Thanks K2-K6, answers my original question as to whats the front of the piston.
I don't think the top pocket has been re-cut, I think a valve has been hitting it.
Yup, the small triangles at 2 o'clock are just small dents with carbon, not anywhere the ring land.
Pistons could have been turned as the valves I took out did not match and I recon it either dropped a valve at some time or a valve head decided to part company with the stem and possibly someone cleaned the damage on the piston top.
I am fitting brand new valves from Cyclex in the USA and had to replace one of the liners which had a big gouge out of the side wall, funnily enough the shape of a valve edge.
I will indeed take onboard your suggestion with the plasticene. Going to re-build everything without torquing the head down and look at the valve clearances.
Again, many thanks for your advice.

Just checked the original needles that were in the carbs when I got them and they are the same as the upgrade needles. Must have already had the fix.

When I get a chance I will check the upgrade parts against the standard parts and see what the difference is.

I know what you mean Ash, but they do appear to be good quality. As with the rubber bits they may dissolve when you oil the chain though. Actually their piston kits are very high quality.

International Standard is £5.45, no, or very little import duties will be payable. I send parts to EU regularly and never have issues, especially to France, Norway, Sweden and Denmark import duties are high.
As far as quality, something you pay £4.00 for is going to be substantially less reliable than a Honda OEM part. A lot of people sell car oil pressure switches for bikes but the pressures are different. Cheap Chinese shite is renown for not being very good, where OEM Genuine Honda oil pressure switches are tried, tested and reliable.
It's up to you Alex.
