Replacement carb body acquired, cleaned, jets swapped and installed.
Chain cleaned and lubed.
Throttle cable finally broke free after several weeks of penetrating fluid (still needs replacement due to broken strands at the handle bar)
Front disc brake caliper de-rusted, bearings replaced, might work if I can get a cable.
New battery installed.
Drained, flushed, refilled front forks with clean oil.

Put gas in it today, and it started on the 3rd kick!

Still need:
Front tire, tube, band
Rear tire, tube, band
Front brake cable
Side covers
Petcock rebuild (gasoline was dripping)

This one was unmolested (compared to my previous motorcycle purchases which had been worked over by poorly trained monkeys) but had been parked for many years.

Major disasters include:

Carburetor: Lower body around jets oxidized away.
Front Disc Brake: Rusted solid, parts not available.
Throttle Cable and Front Brake Cable: Rusted solid, no longer manufactured.

Success stories:
Replacement carburetor body sourced locally.
Front disc brake was attacked with penetrating fluid and naval jelly and moves after a week.
Cables can be custom made by Motion Pro.
She has decided that she likes this one (quite a surprise since she mostly ignores the others).

New Member Introductions / Greetings from the Colonies
« on: August 09, 2013, 10:08:22 PM »
Honda owner checking in from the Colonies (U.S.A.).

I inherited my Grandfathers Honda motorcycles years ago:
1965 CB160
1984 CT110

Recently acquired a 1974 CB125 which she likes.  I might not get much riding time on this one.
