;) yes i have both the books, the second book was issued for the Honda America market and the first book was for the Honda UK market ,and i would say that is why there was and still is confusion, so the american cb750 was called the k0  after they had changed from the sandcast engine .because the UK only got the diecast model anyway they was also called cb750 , the k0 is mentioned in the first book Has being a transitional model and it was dropped in favour of the k1 that everybody got  8)

;) not wanting to be a kill joy but to me the plate looks to big for the bike and i thought the cut off point for that colour plate was 1974
be sure you have insurance until your tax is up or the nice people at the DVLA will send you some nasty letters anyway enjoy riding

;) it is only the hub is offset and not the wheel the spokes are the same length and will keep the hub central to the rim its not rocket science i have laced quite a few wheels without any problems books can be wrong or even misunderstood ::)

CB750 / Re: K0 CORRECT MIRRORS
« on: November 05, 2019, 11:04:22 PM »
;) they had acorn nut mirrors on all CB750's and are correct for the K0's
they only changed when the CB750K1 arrived with the elbow mirrors and i'm sure? they was fitted to every model from the k2 to the K7

;) yes i agree with paul G 100% HHD is not the way to go they are pretty much dead in the water since the introduction of SSD
SSD is so much faster it will totally change your PC or laptop i installed a samsung SSD what a revelation and just use the HHD for storage like pics and vids so its a no brainer really, and install windows 10 is not that bad it just loves memory 8 meg of RAM will be ok,I have 16 meg of RAM and thats plenty 8)

I can see chain damage and the top and bottom cases maybe welded together, see blue shite on the crank case surfaces  :o

i had the same problem once only discovered it when the final drive bearings gave out ,not a job for the faint hearted when using a grinder to split the weld them gears are almost touching the repaired area so could be a challenge  :o

that contraption is not needed on any cb750 as all  the oil that finds its way into the sump will get sucked back into the oil tank  by the scavenger pump and the delivery pump will do the rest
like its already been said its not the case on any old britt bike and they all do it if the oil is not drained from the sump before starting with such a small crank case the surplus oil will be forced out through the engine cases and you will be welcomed by a huge puddle of black oil
i have a BSA a10 650 and if its not used for more than a few weeks it will wet-sump and i have to drain the sump and refill the tank but i still prefer to do this than fit one of them taps to the oil lines and it only takes a few minutes
i have heard so many stories of guys forgetting to turn the taps back on after a long lay-up and bang its too late
keep it simple guys the older we get the more we FORget  :(
