Wondering if anybody can advise me on known problems to look out for when buying a CB250 type MC26.
It's a 1996 model that's done 23,000km.
I'm not intimately familiar with this model as it was launched after I already had given up working in a Honda stealership.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Very pleasurable weekend exploring back roads in the Bavarian forest and Franconia, clocked just over 500 miles. Getting a bit nippy in the early morning for camping now tho.

Anyone got a new unused chin curtain for a Shoei Multitec?
It's originally supplied with the new helmet and fits under the chin piece, not everyone bothers to fit them so if you have one still in the helmet box and unused please let me know.

On route to the CBX1000/6 rally in Germany, I met this guy at the CZ/D border crossing, he's heading for the Silk Road on a C90. Gone through his first Chinese engine replacement already during his trip through Austria, wish him luck!

Just back from the Honda4fest in Cereglio near Bologna. Bike went ok but one of the soles detached from my Altberg boots, only 28 years old you know. Local garage in Cereglio stuck them back together with something similar to Tiger seal, had to leave the yellow tape bandage on until the following morning tho. Folk always seem to look kindly on you when travelling on a classic bike.

Can anyone please recommend a decent long lasting chain for my CB750F1.
Three years and 9,000 miles ago I fitted a DID 530VX x ring chain, and recently I've noticed bits of rubber hanging out from between the side plates. I've seldom had to adjust it and always lubed it after a run.
When the x rings completely fail, the internal lube escapes and the links seize.

Not sure what's causing this but when I park up in my garage for a couple of weeks or more and then pull the bike off the centre stand I get a few drips of petrol onto the garage floor from the carb overflow hoses.
Anyone had the same issue?
Carb float levels were set at 26mm about 4 years ago and not touched since.
I was maybe thinking about worn needle valves, but would this be a normal CB750 fault?
Bike has done 48,000 miles on originals.
