Title: latest Newbie
Post by: gripperod on January 02, 2009, 06:20:09 PM
Hello Everybody, I have just signed up and thought I better introduce myself, although this is my third attempt with the technology so I may end up with multiple introductions. My name is Brian (aka Gripperod), aged 46, married with 2 teenage kids, living in the North West of England, no hair left, no money left etc etc....the usual. I have just finished building my SOHC Honda which took the best part of 6 years, finished it in May but still ironing out the bugs. Its not standard but in mitigation to any traditionalists it was built from bits and no complete bike was injured during the making of this........... I also ride a 955i Daytona and a BSA B40 in trials trim which I keep to ride in the Beamish Trial once a year. Hopefully there will be a picture of the Honda attached on this attempt. Cheers, Gripperod

Hi Brian.

You'll have our NW crowd drooling over that bike!

Questions, questions...

First the exhausts - they look like Swarbricks???

My Sprint ST has a T595 engine; check my blog (http://www.nirvana-motorcycles.com/wordpress/?page_id=13) for the "story"

Steve, Yes they are Swarbrick pipes, wasnt dead impressed considering what I paid and what I then had to do to them to get them fitted and finished, I have now fitted a Marving 4 into 1.

Mick, yes that was me running on three cylinders at Nabs Head, I had been checking the plugs for oiling and hadnt tightened No 4 up, hence the difficulty in starting and rough running. How embarassing in front of the assembled VJMC cognoscenti.... :-[

Brian, if you read my blog you'll see what happens to a Hinckley if you don't do the spark plugs up tight enough...   :'(

No cognoscenti watching - only the Carole Nash recovery bloke (who was brilliant!)
