Thanks.

It was definitely not a 61 as that would have been a pre-unit, so at least a 63 on when they went unit construction.
If your into triumphs these any good? I think they are from a T120 but could be wrong.

If the front forks, brake and balanced exhaust pipes are original then it will be either a 1969 or 1970.

Photos of my 69 TR6 and 70 T120 Bonneville
Not original  I am afraid built from a box of bits and scrap yard finds back in the day ;D Yours look good, wish I still had mine.

Looks good,  what year is the TR?

Is that an "architect" Saab in background?  One within clamshell bonnet?
Yep great car had Saab's for many years.
I think the triumph was a 1961 from memory.

CB750 / Re: hoses
« on: September 10, 2019, 08:07:39 PM »
Top photo is vent from highest point of engine crankcases,  just normally can be routed down behind engine and not in line with rear wheel.

Bottom photo is of cam chain tensioner mechanism that doesn't have anything venting out there.  It's just that shape as it has a rod inside that casting that travels inwards to move the chain guide internal to the engine. No action required for that one.
Thanks for clarifying. Will 1/2 inch pipe fit the top one?

CB750 / hoses
« on: September 10, 2019, 07:41:52 PM »
Hi I have some hoses missing. I presume the top one should go to the airbox which I havent got as carbs have pod filters so could I route that one out back of bike somewhere? bottom one I presume is some sort of engine breather, where should this go? what size pipe fits these connections?
any help appreciated.

You will have a lot of popping with pods and they like a exhaust with back pressure. You can't have much front braking power with a small disc and a caliper that looks like its from a 400/4  ;)
Braking seems OK, but then again I am used to drum brakes lol. will have to look into that as front brake cylinder is seeping despite a new rebuild kit being installed. Wheel is 19 which I believe is larger than standard, Disc is 12 inch diameter is that needing to be larger? It does look smaller in the photo I must admit.

Well took the old girl out for first time (for me) tonight. Well impressed with pulling power and handling. Only problem found on this run was a lot of popping from exhaust on overrun.

LOL the last time I was at Squires I was on a triumph Bonneville listening to the Shangri las 'Remember' I believe it has moved from that location now and is very popular. I mean to get over there at some point I will let you know when. Are you a regular visitor? in which case I will make it when you are present. thanks very much for your offer.

After watching many videos on cb750 engine noises, I decided mine is pretty quiet 8) So taxed and insured her today and will try her out on the road tomorrow ;D. Hopefully will come back unscathed.
