Title: Brake gunk cleaning

Didn't know where to post this but it relates to a 500 so plumped for the 500 section.

I have a couple of front brake master cylinders  to clean up and service ...and the other ancillary parts too.

What is the best thing to get the old jellyfied gunk out and off of said parts...

Brake cleaner and scrub with toothbrush work well.
