Title: Bye-bye to the EU
Post by: Andrew-S on January 31, 2020, 02:10:03 PM
Well, at 11pm tonight it'll be a new beginning for the UK, almost.....

This sums it up nicely I think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2zJ8vaB5jo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2zJ8vaB5jo)

Cheers,

It's going to be a mixed bag, the Brexiteers will celebrate whilst the Remainers will be feeling down in the dumps.  As for me, I might have a wee dram at 11pm tonight. Whatever you might think of Boris and Co. he's stuck to his guns and got us out of the EU.   I do hope the country will unite once again, but I appreciate that won't happen overnight.

And I already worry how this will affect any spares orders from David Silver and alike...  :-\

I'm going to have a party to celebrate... all by myself. Graham does not know what Brixit is / was and doesn't know who Boris Johnson is either. Graham lives in his own little world.... a world which does not include anything that does not concern him or affect him personally.

STEVE! What happened to no politics!
It's a crying shame there are so many old gits on here...including me.

I was tempted to warn everyone off but thought I’d let it run for a while. Nobody is going to change anyone’s views whatever they post so it’s really a waste of time.

The video was reasonably entertaining though I wonder whether he will do another for 31st December entitled “oh shit no trade deal…”

Waiting for Steve to come along - And we mustn't forget that we have friends and members on here who live in EU who we don't want to offend

Agree 100% Phil. I think our friendships with our forum members who live in other countries is stronger than any current day political division and long may our friendships continue. ☺️

Well said Julie, we may be leaving the EU, but we aren't leaving Europe.

Well I have had a British 28 day matured steak with local chestnut mushrooms in Isle of White garlic and butter, Maris Piper spuds from the farm down the road and a heap of British peas. Washed down with some Bad to the Bone ale from the Gun Dog Brewery. Cheers

We are still friends with all our European mates.

It's the pigs in the Brussels troughs we have fallen out of love with.

I would simply say whatever ones opinion on this, it has split the country down the middle and caused lasting damage to friendships - even families...

I truly hope the country come together but would not hold my breath.

I‘m wondering when parcel shipping cost to UK will raise to ROW level on first step. Tomorrow?

Than when comes import VAT plus customs duty, 01.01.2021?

I got the same world, 67 yrs old and due the total bulsh*te spouted by politicians i only voted once in my life and that was to ditch the EU and they couldnt even do what the people told them too

It is my honest opinion that it is a real shame Guy Fawkes failed!!!

Appologies to Steve but i did let it run a bit before throwing my bit of 2x4 in.

Personally I dont think it will make any difference .
The sun will keep coming up in the morning..
And the world will still explode in a half a billion years time....
Watching the birds this morning on the bird feeder and they dont give a shit about any of it ...made no difference to them !

I agree with John, I love Europeans, it's the unelected, unregulated politicians who ruined it. This is especially so considering they poked their noses into individual countries internal affairs. They European Parliament refused to be audited and when they eventually were they refused to publish the results of where all the money went! Typical corrupt politicians!

+2, but it doesn't matter how anyone voted, we're all leavers now.
