Awesome! I keep my spare house key in a very obscure spot, just in case I get stuck. I imagine this would work in the scenario ' I'm out for a ride, I've lost my key but I have a screwdriver with me so I can take the headlight apart'!.

Ha, that was lucky. IIRC, my old Triumph TR4a once had a spare key in the rear light cluster.....

That’s brilliant! Looks as if it’s never been used. Hopefully you’ve not changed the locks!

I had a key like that on my 550K3.
It fitted my Mk2 Escort too (not much didn’t to be honest).

I've also got that key number Steve. I was hoping you were going to say it was surplus but no such luck.

I can nick your bike now Steve but you can't nick mine as it has 2 ignition locks fitted  ;D ;D ;D ;D

The worse car I ever had for security was my TVR S2. The electric window switches were on the dash and still powered even when the ignition was off and the car was locked.
You could lift a tiny bit of the soft top where it met the door, poke a bamboo cane in and press the down on the switch.

Crap car, terrible build quality, let in the same amount of water with the roof up as down, crap electrics and overheated when it wanted to.

Our front door key would fit almost all of the old Ford Escort Panda Cars as the locks were so worn through continuous use. One night shift when a local copper was having a cup of tea with a " a lady friend" tea spot we moved his motor out of sight a couple of streets away. It was very funny when he went to go  to his motor and it  was gone. A great lad was Malc Blades an ex- Marine be who died far  too young of a brain tumour in his early thirties.
