Hello everyone. I was made aware of this forum by Nurse Julie, after I posted a question on Facebook. Thanks Julie!
I am currently starting a restoration of a 1977 400/4 that I have owned for 30 of its 42 years. (See attached picture). Unfortunately, it was stored for a number of years in my mother's garage and unbeknownst to me the garage roof was leaking all over the bike! It was restored once before by me in the early 90's, which was a relatively simple one, but I suspect it may be a little more involved this time around! Looking forward to the challenge though and to get to hear that unique 400/4 sound once again! :D
I am a fan of tinkering with all things petrol powered and wheeled. My current regular bike is a 1997 Kawasaki ZZR1100, (see avatar), which I have owned from new. I also have the unfashionable, (read cheap!), versions of the following cars, a 40 year old MG Midget, (rubber bumpered), and a 14 year old all aluminium Jaguar XJ as my main family car. The combination of all of these keeps me out of trouble ;)
Cheers,
Keith

Welcome to the forum and have fun. There must be more 400s in sheds than CD175s the rate they keep cropping up. :)

Welcome to the forum Keith. Looks like your 400/4 had been fitted with Koni's prior to it hibernation?

Welcome to the 400four forum Keith. I saw your post on Facebook so I'm glad you decided to join us.
I think you mentioned previously that you were getting lots of parts rechromed. I can recommend the remanufactured rear mudguard on ebay for £75ish. It's really good quality and cheaper than a rechrome.
Keep the photos coming.
