The grease and screwdriver works fine on a C50 too!

It's 42 degrees here and we're getting ready to go out to a New Year's Eve party so I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2011 while I can!

I listen to it on the radio when I'm having lunch at work.

I had one on my CB125S and found that you needed 2 handfuls of throttle to get it fully open. It was quite stiff too.

Me too. Brings back memories of my GT250. That thing was mental!

Same thing happened to me on a K6.

Turned out the contacts in the ignition switch had burnt out.

Despite being told that the switch couldn't be removed rom the lock assembly, I removed it and swapped it from an ignition I managed to get with no keys.

Worked fine after that.

Maybe they'll adopt the system over here in Victoria.

You only need a RoadWorthiness Certificate when you sell your vehicle or when your told to get one by the Police or Vic Roads. The test itself is quite basic compared to the MOT Test.

You're supposed to keep your vehicle in a roadworthy condition but there are no compulsory annual test carried out.

If you keep your vehicle and run it into the ground you never have to get it done and as things don't rust much over here there are quite a few clunkers on the roads.

A test certificate or insurance is not required to get your annual registration either. You get your sticker through the post and it Aecomes valid once you pay the fee.

An annual yest had been mooted but no sign of it happening.

Puch MS50D. Now that rings a bell.

That was my first legal moped, followed by an FS1E which is what I wanted all along.

First motorcycle (as opposed to first moped) was a 1972 Honda CB125S.

Worst is a toss up between a CB250 G5 which pissed oil out of the cam cover and a CB350 K4.

The K4 was a lovely bike but it used to chew cam chain tensioners like they were going out of fashion.

The speedo used to go backwards when the engine was revving. Had to close the throttle and pull the clutch in to find out how fast I was really going!

On my 550 the footpeg folded up out of the way.

Made it interesting if you rode off without putting it back after starting it! : )
