CB750 / Honda CB750/4 Dealer 30th Anniversary Brochure.
« on: October 14, 2019, 10:35:40 PM »
I saw this brochure on a FB group I belong to thought it may be of interest. It's got some great photos in it and some good reading and to make a real change, it was produced by Honda Motorcycles Europe and not Honda Motorcycles USA. One thing that I have seen it it that is a bit strange, is the there in no specific section on the K6, which we had in the UK, the model is mentioned at the end of the K4 section 🤔. Lots of other Honda models / history in the brochure too.
Anyways.....I had to ask Ash to do the tech bit and put it in his dropbox for me as I hadn't a clue how to get the PDF on here 🙄.

Anyway, here is the link

CB750 / IOM TT 1969.....UK CB750/4 K0
« on: September 30, 2019, 06:12:37 PM »
Just seen this on another site.

''IOM TT in 1969, Honda had a display on Nobles park to unveil several new machines, I think they were hoping for big things for something called the CB750 😏".

The lad on the bike I assume is who has just posted the pic....but he's 50 years older now 😀😀😀

Notice, no clocks fitted and high US spec handlebars. I'm not sure if the cut edge front mud guard was standard ( my poor product knowledge) but notice how no holes visible for the fitting of the front number plate
Edit....im saying UK spec because of the black tail light unit.

Edit.....for those interested I have just posted page on FB where i saw this pic.

CB350/400 / Video...CB400/4 with Delkevic fitted.
« on: September 02, 2019, 02:10:58 PM »
Some of you who are thinking about aftermarket exhausts may find this useful. Hope this link to FB works. This is a Delkevic just fitted to a CB400/4. The bike has just been restored from a pile of rusty old bits and belongs to a very good FB friend in Tennessee.

Humour / Hidden talents
« on: August 15, 2019, 06:32:34 PM »
A man met a beautiful lady and decided he wanted to marry her right away...

She said, “But we don't know anything about each other”...

He said, “That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along”...

So she consented, they were married, and off they went on a honeymoon at a very nice resort...

One morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 metre board and did a two and a half tuck, followed by three rotations in the pike position, at which point he straightened out and cut the water like a knife...

After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel...

She said, “That was incredible!”...

He said, “I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along”...

So she got up, jumped in the pool and started doing lengths...

After seventy-five lengths she climbed out of the pool, lay down on her towel and was hardly out of breath...

He said, “That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?”...

“No”, she said, “I was a prostitute in Liverpool but I worked both sides of the Mersey”...

For those new to the forum, today is 'Bitsa' Day. 4 years ago today, Ralph died, and he is still very much missed. An argumentative, pig headed, grumpy bastard but a diamond at heart. Never forgotten.

CB350/400 / Original CB400/4 parts availability
« on: July 01, 2019, 12:33:25 PM »
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the decline in new 'Original' parts availability for 400/4's?.
I know there are lots of micky mouse copies available that have been superseded god knows how many times and are called 'Genuine', they fit and do the job but are not 'Original' to the 400/4. Yes, although they are Genuine Honda, which as we know fit many other models as well, they are not anything like the original parts?. I know Yamiya are an excellent supplier but they don't sell everything you need and Long John Silver lists parts as 'Genuine' but they are mainly poor alternatives and totally different to the Originals. CMS do a fair good job too but far from perfect. Are we begining to see the decline in these parts as has happened with other models in the SOHC/4 model range......or is it just me? 🤔🤔🤔

« on: May 30, 2019, 11:48:39 AM »
Hi to all members,
After 3 years of collecting parts and 8 months for the rebuilt, bike is ready.
All works done in my garage, except painting, rechroming, rezinc.
Gauges  restored by Peter Horton in UK.
Carbs done By Gerben in NL.
Sticker set By Diego (REDICE) in Spain.
All of them great people!
Engine turned to pieces and rebuilt from scratch By me with the assistance from a close friend.
As you All know every restoration takes so much time, effort, money... But the feeling after is so special.
My Thanks to Julie and Graham, Who stood By my side in all restoration. They believe in me and support me in all dificult times. Gave me important tips when needed. Happy to know them and our friendship is more important now.
Last, this restoration is deticated to my close friend Vernon, Who passed away Last august... A trully british gendleman and a man that kept me in Honda family. Miss him everyday...

Regards to all
Giannis

CB350/400 / YAMIYA 4 INTO 4 EXHAUSTS CB400/4
« on: May 29, 2019, 02:39:54 PM »
Anyone fancy a set of 4 into 4's for their CB400/4?. Yamiya are selling them off cheap because they are not selling and need to get rid of the stock. Work out about 1800 Euro.
Also, having read the description etc, I never knew the frame for the 398cc engine was different to the 408cc engine ....maybe just because of the rear foot pegs on the swing arm though, looking at the kit that comes with it.
