 ;) totally agree with james

Good CB750's are definitely selling..

i took one of my good CB750 k0's for a MOT the other week the tester offered me 7 grand cash for it there and then i politely declined . i like to think most people here at least know the true value of these bikes. its not often you will get a  bargain, them days are long gone, you can thank the internet for that ,you want to check out the big bike jumbles they are a joke ,at stafford this year a guy wanted 12 grand for a very scruffy gold  k0 i told him it aint worth anywhere near that .he said it would be worth 20 grand when its restored.  ::) dream on

I wonder why she left in the first place.
lol i often wonder why she ever came back ,ive always said i had bikes before i met her so whats the problem
i did rebuild a suzuki gt250 in the main bedroom and fired it up. she was not amused when she came back from shopping the house stunk for days of two stroke oil .but i think ive found the answer guys,
i bought another house seven years ago, just five doors away bigger and better with a proper garage .she spends most of the time down the other house i spend all of the time in this one :-*

Other Bikes / Re: CBX1000 prototype
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:02:51 PM »
;) yes i think the cbx1000 is just a mock up there are lots of cb750 bits on it ,like the cb750 prototype had lots of cb450 bits on it. as you would expect; this reminds me of the honda cb750 prototype with a cb450 half chrome tank on it.the owner admitted years later that it was a fake
and closer to home a guy told me 30 years ago that his brother had the first cb750 in wales and it came with a drum front brakes lol i have six the only one i have with a local reg number was sold in 1971 lol as you know the big shops in england got them before any body else in the uk
in fact my first cb750 i bought locally the owner then from swansea had too go to london to buy it.food for thought init  ;)

« on: May 14, 2017, 08:40:27 PM »
 ;) hi
if they are fitted they must be working front and rear, you could try it without any indicators, but its much better to fit a pair on the front has all the wiring and relay are already in place

CB750 / Re: CB750 early K with K7 combination...
« on: May 03, 2017, 09:07:42 PM »
;) yes it will work fine you just need to go with whatever chain and sprocket combination you choose
i have a F2 motor in a K0 frame it also has a sidecar fitted so the gearbox gets a lot of stick , i would like to think that the heavier chain will never snap lol.
as its already been said earlier you might be restricted to tyre width,i have a  155x15 car tyre fitted and i dont think i can go much wider than a 165 x 15 also the swinging arm is a limiting factor anyway

Crikey, that's the most complete answer I have ever seen on a forum. Nice one!! Also helps us F2 boys understand the system a little better. Thanks.
;) yes them PD carbs are a learning curve  i have a set on my k0 sidecar combination and have often thought of sticking k1 or k2 carbs on instead, they work quite well for me for normal riding but often it cuts out on tick over probably due to over lean mixture. the thing that has always puzzled me with these PD carbs is why the accelerator pump only works on one carb and cylinder ,why not have four one for each carb lol

on a recent 3,000 mile round trip to Ireland I averaged 52mpg.
im sure ive said this before ? yes that is what i got from ,my k0s i usually stick to speed limit these days, only my combination does worse i think i get about 45 mpg from that and its got a f2 engine so it does rev a lot harder when pulling the sidecar

CB750 / Re: CB750 Oil Pipe Nut sealing
« on: April 19, 2017, 07:16:21 PM »
:) originally they came with soft white metal washers from honda.there is no part number for them so i assume they only came with new oil pipes
but im sure copper is ok aswell as there is not a lot of pressure in the actual oil tank
britt bikes use fibre washers but that still dont stop em leaking lol

The number plate on the Triumph had 2 numbers transposed. I only found this out at a roadside check, when it was pointed out to me by a policeman.
that reminds me of my mates riding three up on a cb175,after stopping them the policeman noticed that the front reg was different to the back(this was done by the shop)he let them off for the number plate lol

Does anyone here with an early K series know what they get to a tank?
i always get over 50 mpg from my 1970 cb750 k0's i get 115 miles before i hit reserve,i fill up as soon as posible, and try not to run far on reserve not to pull any crap through from the bottom of the tank.
filled the bike up twice sunday cracking weather and did well over 150 miles ;)
