Tricks & Tips / David Silver 400/4 switch gear wiring compatibility.
« on: March 26, 2024, 07:42:45 PM »
I'm going to put this in tricks and tips. It's written by Dean at David Silver and shows which wire colours on their pattern switch gear, goes to which colour on the OEM loom.

You need 5.5mm ID or the tube will not fit over the outlet but 5.4mm fits fine. Buy a long length of tubing from Planet Silicone on Ebay. Item number 130740225601

15° to air cure is fine. Never cured under lamps as we always cure in an oven, so can't comment on that. But, the heat needs to be all around the part to oven cure it evenly.

No just the weaker ones!!!!!
I bet they have broken a few nails  :o ..... what should we do, ask Julie?  ;D
Yes George, I bloody have broken plenty of nails on that pesky thing, hence the cable tie in situ.

Great few hours out on Millie this morning, almost managed to dodge the rain, but not quite 😁😁😁, nonetheless, it felt great to get out for a blast and a very nice breakfast at Wickenby Aerodrome.

Thanks Julie that's perfect, is the shock end spread to fit the bracket between it and the bush?
These are TEC shocks Dom. They are very slightly wider at the bottom and ordinarily a washer goes there but we just leave the washer out and fit the bracket there instead.

Here you are Dom. This has s Graham's Mongrel as it was near the front of the queue, the bracket that Graham designed and made is identical to that which is fitted to Millie.
