Good for you,

The idea of the small head, is to stop it being tightened to much,

I also grease the O ring under the head to prevent it sticking/corroding

Dave, mine were missing from my project too so I made them from perforated sheet steel. I found some with a similar hole pattern to the parts diagrams and used the dimensions from the base of the filter box.
The steel bends quite easily with pliers so it's not too hard to do.
A bit of mesh pad to sandwich in between and the jobs a good'un. 👍

Victory is mine! The bolt extractor sockets didnt work although a great purchase for future use. Eventually I had to opt for cold chisel and the big hammer - thank goodness for the flange under the bolt head.

If you have a V in your back yard i wanna see it.
If you have been to Kennedy you will know about the "Oh Shit" face when leaving the control room mockup and the last Apollo lying down at Houston is impressive

That's one place on my bucket list Bryan. I have a mate who has over the years collected the signatures of all the Apollo astronauts. He used to go to the conventions.
I occasionally treat myself to watching the full Apollo 11 launch on YouTube, still a fantastic sight 55 years on👍.

Thanks Ash👍. I have some 1mm aluminium perforated sheet on order from eBay just in case I have to make something. I know it should be steel but I think the top plate will be difficult to fabricate with all the bends involved and Ali is a bit more pliable. Hopefully you may have something in your stash. The build is coming along nicely now with all the sub assemblies finished.

I'm not too bothered about which way it's fitted either - what concerns me most about the picture showing the nut on the left is that I don't think the left adjuster bolt is sitting in the 'centralising dimple'. Looks too low to me.

Bike or manual? The parts book on there is Japanese.
I supplied them all to Ash by the way.

I can still burn the all to a dvd for a small fee if wanted
