The Pilot Light Mini Loom on my 500 has mostly rusty bulb holders - are there replacement bulb holders & rubber covers available anywhere?

Z1 parts have been out of stock for the past 9 months.
Just fitted one from Yamiya, part number F228 ;)

Alan on here sells a replica but it's expensive at £69.

The site is priced in Yen or similar - what sort of cost is it with shipping Graham?
-
Appears to be identical to the clocks harness.
-
It's about 74 euros Ted inc shipping but you also need to factor in it might get import duty.

Wires would be different colours Phil.
-
I can live with that if they are long enough?
-
I'd imagine if they would reach to the clocks they'd reach to the bars. Might be easier to adapt a CB550 warning light panel bulb holder set. They'd be an extra indicator bulb but that should be easy to get rid of. Plus the wiring should be the same colours.

Should have searched for 550K1 as well Ted.

If I can source the bulb holders by size I can solder new ones in place if I have a bulb type designation. I think I have a couple of the rubber covers from an old spedo unit.
Might be worth a trip into Derby to RF Potts as they look like something they might have in the loft spares section.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144643401910
Something like this
-
Ted I bought bulb holder rubbers for the 750 but they were no good! Too small. I ended up sourcing the complete harness ready to plug in.
-
By the time you've bought 4, soldered them in and such it would be cheaper and easier to buy that one off twowheelspares, you know that's going to fit.
-
Unless the rubbers are as hard as marble. As they tend to be? I’ve been through his loop twice on clock rubbers/bulbs. Buy once, buy new.
-
That’s fine Phil IF you can find and afford new. I’m having some success soaking rubber things like this in silicon oil, seems to make them suppler
-
Indeed, they are dear. I repaired my last lot. The rubbers lamp holders where £6 each alone.
-
Incidentally, I ‘restored’ some rubber items using a wintergreen and glycerine concoction earlier this year. I was told they would soon go hard again….they haven’t.
