Honda-SOHC

Hello to everyone .Ive been offerred the chance to purchase a 1976 model of the 550/4 supersport 12,000 miles on the clocks runs fantastically well I know the bikes full history right back to the guy who built it out of the box .It needs some slight work to the chrome and possibly the engine painted to make it perfect no restoration work has been done previously do you guys think this is a sound investment if I get it im keeping it not interested in a quick buck as I absolutely love the bike and want a little piece of  honda history,thank you for any help or guidance very much appreciated
