I've only ordered from Webike in Japan. I have yet to be clobbered for tax/import charges. Service has been excellent. Some parts, however, are cheaper in the UK....

If measurements are all within service limits, then I wouldn't worry!

HFl is a nasty acid easily absorbed through the skin it will leach the Calcium out of your bones - my BiL has terrible hand issues from working with it in the glass cutting etching trade at Webb Corbett in Tutbury.
I've heard of terrible stories of HF - the stuff frightens me!

Old Konis are difficult if not impossible to get parts for, the later ones you gan get parts from Ikon
Bryan, unless you can point me somewhere else, I can only find parts available from Ikon in Oz. The UK distributor has now stopped importing them. I'm after seals (for my Guzzi shocks)

Thinking of your magneto, I'm sure young Mr Millward tested an old magneto by putting a strong magnet on the outside of a magneto casing to see if it would spark when turned over. I've never tried that myself but worth a go when you get there! Is that tub full of debris from the engine?

Ted, bigger travel on the rear wheel these days and the tail light is some sort of EU reg - a lot of people refit with a 'tail tidy'
Dave, the power is quite remarkable for a 400 and more noticeable is the torque - which it seems to have oodles of!

Such a shame that you have had this experience. Lets hope it has not put you off the bike and in reality, all is well and you can look forward to the summer riding Elen. I suppose GetFixed deal with newer bikes most of the time and have minimal experience with 400/4's. I know it is no excuse but maybe a little mitigation. Whenever I have had to take a classic car in for repair (due to my lack of time) I always chose a motor engineer as opposed to a mechanic. The former having an empathy with the car he (or she) worked on. Anyway, get some miles on and see hoe it goes!

Isn't that because the heated it a little too much? My powder coating guy re-did my Guzzi wheels (which looked fine to me!) without me even asking. He said that the pimples / spots were because the oven temp was a little high.

Could someone tell me how to stop the 'you have a personal message' appearing on the site when I log in! It's really annoying! If I delete the message, it doesn't work!

Only a problem if I drop of the perch before I get them back - not easy to sell a part restored 500 with no wheels fitted. I'm collecting them in the morning.💀💀💀
Love the positive approach !
