Ha, i have just looked up the dictionary meaning of 'respite' respite ˈrɛspʌɪt,ˈrɛspɪt/Submit noun 1.a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant. Honestly, Trig is not that bad

Alan, I have a great teacher looking over my shoulder at everything I do on this and if it is not right is not backward at comming forward He may own up to being this person but his help/advice is invaluble.
Are you talking about the Honda God at the House of Honda Paul? 😁😁😁😁😁 Hopefully you are now beginning to realise what I went through when I built my engine, I have still not recovered fully. 😭😭😭

I have a NOS full can here but, it is not the same as the can in your picture. You may end up in a bigger mess than you are in now if you use the one I have. The can in my pic was the 'C' we went from, to the 'D' without noticing any difference in the finish or colour.

Original Honda head gaskets are very, very sticky and can be a right pain, bordering on impossible to shift.

Yes, I see what you mean Roy. We have never done an engine in a mixture of the 2 as always have enough of whatever we were / are using in stock. There are still places on fleabay advertising the 31C but i expect 31D would turn up. We are still very happy with the colour and finish of the 'D' as are the customers, so we have no intention of changing. What colour is the front of the can on yours, post a pic and i will go have a rummage in the workshop.
Edit....I have just read your post again, I don't think Simoniz have dropped a ball at all, the paint is still great, the finish exceptional, the colour match spot on, so i cant see a problem with the 'D' at all.

I will have a look in the workshop later to see if we have any 'C' left Roy. We have been using the 'D' for almost a year now and have noticed no difference whatsoever in the finish or the colour.

The original Varnish blue is lighter than yours, I prefer the darker colour blue of yours.. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
