Looking through an old magazine yesterday & found this reference to a website with Japanese style connector blocks:

I got the vehicle wiring products ones for my 550, not the same so they don't fit the original bracktry, just change the inner bits (which work in original housings). I'm geussing the plastic housings would be bike specific, at least for the ones on the 550 under the sidepannel as they clip into the mounting brackett for the reg and rec plus fuses
