Title: K0 CORRECT DATE OF MANUFACTURE
Post by: StevieWonder on October 15, 2019, 06:41:18 PM: Can anyone please help me identify when my bike was manufactured. Unfortunately the VIN plate on the steering head has been removed - maybe for respray, It's a K0 with frame number 10369**. I think it would be around May 1970. Perhaps there is a listing of frame numbers and dates out there or I'd be very grateful, if someone with a similar frame number and intact VIN would advise.

1037279 is an 05/70 bike.

I’d say yours is def an 05/70 bike

do you have a log book if not you could try and get a dating certificate off the VJMC there is a charge but the DVLA normally accepts their findings but if the bike is already registered then you can use the date off the logbook

Julie - yes, stamped VIN on LHS of headstock (same as Uk units) but have the riveted VIN tag on RHS of headstock...

Ah yes, I remember now. It is handy that the USA bikes have the manufacture date on the VIN.

that could have been such a mine field when you involve the DVLA they want all the correct paperwork
i know that from past experience as we are local to swansea it pays us to go to there in person
