I just wanted to check I am right in my assumption.....
Are O ring dimensions in the Honda parts manual quoted as Inside Diameter and Thickness which is my conclusion
-
Indeed you are correct Paul. But, the sizes only relate if you are using OEM gaskets. Some after market gaskets are thicker meaning the OEM O ring sizes do not seal.

Thx Julie any idea what the OEM Head Gasket thickness is?
I should add I got a full gasket set from DS as it was shown as NE on their website but came on a plain card back with no branding so no idea of the manufacturer.
Hopefully head gasket and O rings should be compatible but am now worried - wondered if any one else had used the DS set recently

I used a DSS set for 500 about six months ago, but have only competed about 20 miles since..ok so far.
Also bought a complete gasket set for one of my 550s from M&P in their 20% off for £36. It is NE brand, but not used it yet and they don't seem to have a 500 set listed.

Did your DSS set come as NE branded or just on a plain card (if you can remember)

OK i measured up the new gasket and o ring from the DSS kit and also measured up the old ones taken off (OK I know these will have been compressed but I was curious)
The pic shows the measurements
1) Does anyone have these measurements for NOS parts
2) Can anyone confirm if the DSS parts are going to be OK
