Hello everybody,
My location is (very close to) Barcelona, Catalunya. I am from The Netherlands and owner since a couple of years of a 500 K0 from England, it was imported. I made a couple of changes, I am sure not everyone agrees on it but it is how I like it. I needed the KM clock instead of miles so that was changed to a K2 set. Then, a Giuliari seat was installed but I prefer original. I prefer the K2 look of the seat, I found a very good one, complete with the document lid etc but needs a new cover. I changed the locking system also to K2 as the original mount plate & lock was not very original neither anymore. Then, I was lucky and found some original exhausts. That made me happy. The open 4-1 is available if anybody is interested. Several other things were changed to make it look nice.
First some pictures how it was a couple of weeks ago. I installed the new exhausts but it was not running good enough. Last year I already did the carbs but now I took the top end complete apart. I had several carb parts plated. I found some new NOS pistons as 1 had a serious problem. New piston rings etc etc. Cilinder head needs some work, 5 or 6 M6 are gone, valve cover has one corner broken. All will be fixed. Now I have a new issue, one of the coils has the ground wire broken and I think the other coil was already fixed sometimes. So, searching for 2 new coils. I need them to be the about 5 to 6 Ohm because of the electronic ignition.
I made some piston plates to make cilinder install easier. I hope it is not giving me too many headaches upon install. Any tips?
At the end a pic of the 4-1 exhaust, very good for a cafe racer. Needs one simple hole below to be closed but that is easy to do. If somebody wants them, let me know.
Also you can see the seat I bought, very good shape, just need a new cover, working on that right now :-)
Well, so much for now :-)

Hi my name's John. I did try to message in Feb, but I don't think I did it correctly. 62 years old, not very good with modern tech, blackboard and chalk when I was at school.
I would like to purchase 4 in to 1 exhaust for 500/4. Will pay £50 plus postage from Spain. My phone number if you get message is ---

Many thanks John can't wait for lockdown to end so we can ride again .

welcome, :D new to the forum myself , today I fitted barrels, first I set middle pistons to top put blocks under them to centralise stabilize, leaving a little play. then clamped the rings using home made clamps made from two jubilee clips, screwing mechanism cut off, ends bent over and drilled, screw fitted through both holes with nut. tightened just enough to close rings /should still be able to move turn clamp with rings no need to close rings completely the base of the bore is slightly bigger than running area.
then I lowered barrels down onto the pistons slowly using one hand to persuade pistons into bores.
when entered just enough, I removed clamps and fitted them to the other two pistons and removed blocks.
tapped barrels down further untill other two were starting to enter rotated crank in small incrimentsl fed in the pistons removed clamps. well that is how I did it. right or wrong hope that helps again Welcome
