so I've just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in the garage getting my bike ready for the good weather. (Yeah, right!)
I dug the feeler gauges out and did the plugs, points and valve clearances and checked the timing.
The cam chain tension's been set and the steering head bearings checked and set after the recent work on the steering head.
Stick it all back together and just for a laugh a couple of prods on the kick and all is running sweetly.
I find it a very therapeutic and relaxing way to while away the hours. (Wife doesn't agree though.)
Just got to change the oil and filter, give the air filter a shake and set and lubricate the chain and we're ready to go.
Bring on the Spring. :)

Took the Ducati to work today. 53F degrees this morning when I left. Will be almost 80f degrees going home. We haven't had any real rain for 2 months now. Our down time is when the temperature hits the 90's.
Sucks, I know... ;D

Sounds good.
Should be similar in Oz when I get there.
-
All sorted now and running sweetly.
Just need a wash and a polish and we're ready to roll.
Now, where's that sunshine...

Ok Dave. Look forward to it.
Won't be going for 6 or 7 months yet.

Must be the sunshine, just spent two days removing the layer of WD40 and polishing up the F1, the first time I've given it a top to bottom clean since putting it together. Also gave me a chance to check for loose nuts/bolts and anything in danger of falling off.
And after getting the oil pressure up with the kill switch in the off position it fired up nicely on all four and ran as sweet as a nut when I took it out for a spin.
Cheers

Managed to get out for an hour after work today so headed over to Southport for a brew.
Fantastic turnout over there with a shed load of bikes at the Carousel.
Unfortunately there were a few idiots amongst us acting like prats so there was a plod presence.
Great ride though and the 550's running very nicely! :)
