Here is my unmolested CB550. Plugs in behind the frame bar

I can't seem to see the best route for the brake lamp switch wiring here is my photo.
Not sure if this would interfere with the fitting of the side panel.

Does anyone have a photo of the correct wiring route?

The cable tie is temporary, iginition currently disconnected whilst I'm doing the static timing.

I know where there might be some brackets but they’re in the US.

Do you want me to ask my pal over there Dom? It’s a bit of a long shot but I know they’re there……

Sorry to hear about your sister Bryan.

I may make up a bracket and utilise the horn fixing points

Bike 'broke down' two days ago. Battery was not charging when I went on a run two days ago. It is a new battery and I recently replaced the wiring loom. I can't for sure rule out the rectifier or regulator however the AA man, (a biker too, he used to build custom machies for himself) strongly suggested the issue is insufficient charge from the [/color]alternator. My side stand when it is in the up position is pretty much touching the front pipe on number one cylinder.
As my bike had a 4:1 system it was not an issue on the old silencer.

Before I look at trying to move the exhuast a tad is there any other possible explaination?

The Delkevic system comes with a large single rubber grommet what is this for?
There is a square rubber fitted for the centre stand.

CB350/400 / Replace Kickstart shaft
« Last post by Eldrick on Today at 04:22:02 PM »
Is is possible to replace the kickstarter shaft (complete) without disturbing anything else in the crankcase?
I am sure that my kickstart does not work because the splines on the shaft are stripped. I have the kickstart lever attached so I have not fully investigated this yet. Even so, I may only need the knuckle end if the lever is the issue and not the shaft.
I am inclined to do nothing if the shaft repair is required and necessitates any work that dismantles the crank case. I would like a fully working kickstarter just for fun.

Why do you need to replace the generator they rarely fail
If you do no the rotor does not need to come off
Head gasket can be done with engine in, there are not a lot of options for sets now but you will need the special sealing washers under some of the head nuts

If the only difference is the extra brown wire then you should be able to use the earlier 4 wire switch but good luck finding an original Honda bracket and then you would need to weld a bracket for it to bolt to onto the frame.
The us boys used to move the early switch to between the clocks with a bracket that i may have one of somewhere but finding it is a problem.
I am just back from my sisters funeral, give me some time and i will check out the wiring diagrams for you
