Looks like you may have one of the very rare reduced sized versions Mjc477 - not many left now !  Joking aside- I feel the same when I park my own 1975 500/4 next to modern bikes , especially vs tyre widths.

And gets even more confusing with the 74/75 registered UK K1's which had K2 serial number engines from new !

Hi Steve - probably to far away (Cornwall) but I've got a 1975 UK K1 in original spec. which they are welcome to use.

MOT'd / taxed and out and about most dry days. Was originally supplied by Ryes of Fulham and has 7 previous owners who are all listed in a History File with quite a few anecdotes from most of them.

Is already a magazine star being feature bike in CMM Sept. 2011 Mira Files article entitled 'Magic Carpet Ride' where John Nutting recaptures his youth ! If they are interested let me know or let them have my contact details (07920 262103).

Thought the world had gone mad but still a fortune for a K6 - at least it's got it's side panel wings on the right way round unlike the (also extortionate) K2 at same daeler !

Following recent VJMC E Mail providing links to International E Bay sites I have found some Nos Upper and Lower Left genuine HM323 exhausts on the Italian site under Blutony747(100%) at Euro375 inc. delivery to UK.

Although this price equates to around a quarter of the cost of a complete new CB500K1 in 1975, in today's market  they look good value vs CMS price of Euro600 who incidentally refuse to confirm that their stock is stamped HM323 (despite 4 separate 'ticket' requests !)

Just ordered Upper Left to replace one that had been repaired around the rear 'balance join' (was vgc apart from that). The other 3 pipes are fortunately virtually as new. Bike is the 1975 UK K1 which was subject of the John Nutting 'Magic Carpet Ride' test in Sept. 2011 Classic M/C Mechanics.

Still 7 Upper Lefts in stock if anyone interested

CB750 / Rhino Horn Top Triple Tree pinch bolt torque settings.
« on: May 04, 2012, 12:13:34 PM »
Looking for correct torque settings for the three pinch bolts - have new set of the very essential spacers but cannot find specific torque settings in any of reference data available . May be the torques quoted at 32.5 - 39.8 pounds foot under 'Front Fork Bolt' within torque table within the www.salocal.com site but I need to clarify if this is actually referring to the above three bolts in question !!

These top yokes are becoming extremely rare and expensive hence my concern to get torque spot on .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
