Take off the logos. Underneath is a m6 bolt. Slide chrome plating to the rear of the tank.
Oder schicke es mir  ;D

Well, not exactly what you are looking for but I've been working on a library of colours for years now.
Far from complete...

I really don't want to spoil great plans.
And I do like a road trip...., however...

I live in Germany.
550 kilometers from Calais straight to the right... say 140 km right of Luxembourg city.

I am affraid this only works if your parts are virtually worthless.
Say an old dented rusty tank and old  badly repainted sidecovers are for customs easy to be seen as worthless parts.

However; returning fresh refubished parts is going to be different.

Until January 2022 it will still not be taxed but this should change 1st of January. Probably.

Problem is that if you state the packages worth on 100 euro, this is what you will get from the insurance if something happens.
And if package is checked you might get a fine.

Next problem: worth max is 999 euro because if you go over that amount you'll need to fill out 30 pages of customs declarations.

Now... no one will exactly know how much will be charged to import goods from the EU but the best guess is; it will probably the same amount one has to pay in Europe to have parcels imported in the EU.
Import tarifs on packages are aprox. 25%  to 40% on the total value of the package.
That includes handling fees, charging fees and many more fees I never even knew existed.

This is the main reason nobody I know in Germany, The Netherlands or France buy stuff in the UK anymore.
In Spain I know only Diego, so maybe he can share his experiences.

I looked at the Youtube film... that is not candy paint.
Ok, you can write whatever you want on the paint bucket but this is a simple 1 stage metallic blue paint.

24
I would say; test it on a piece of metal first.
Paint it and see the next day how easy it is to wipe it off with a cloth with a bit of thinner on it.
If your cloth turns red I would suggest a clear 2k to seal the tank.

The e 5 or e10 added nowadays to fuel is nothing more than cheap alcohol.
That doesn't affect paint much.

However; everyone always needs to be very careful with their original paint. Ever.

If you would paint a candy red over white you would have to add so many layers to cover the white that the colour would become very dark.
But even still.... it is called light ruby red. Not light candy ruby red.

Ben and I also discovered today that 'Light Ruby Red' which looks like a solid colour is actually a white basecoat with candy red on top followed by clear coat.

(Attachment Link)

Whoever wrote this... it is incorrect.
Candy jade green for starters is bluemetallic with a candy yellow coat
Candy bacchus olive bluemetallic-orange
Or goldmetallic with bluecandy

Light ruby red is not a candy.
It is common to always paint a light layer like white or (what Honda also did) orange ground befor aplying red.
