Hi been trying to change my avatar, but when trying to uplad a new one I'm getting an error messgae "either the picture is not an avatar or the file is too big" .... even when I wipe the vatar completely and try to reload the one I was currently using it says the same error message
I also have the same problem with the avatar pic,and also gallery pictures,just get a funny logo in the centre John

Moto GP is still the TOP quality,fastest and technically the top
... and has some of the stupidest rules... [some of them seem to be made up as they go along]
If Bridgstone came out with a new tyre and told everyone they'd only last 20 miles because of the road surface...
I agree, also in the Moto2 aswell both Bridgestone and Dunlop neglected to test on the new surface, giving a mismatch of two races, both need to be admonished !! but,in the end it was OK not good,only OK

very tempted for sunday,
but with the Moto gp,the wsbk aswell,and the weather ,
I doubt I'll make it,
mainly the weather,I don't mind riding in the wet,but hate cleaning after,
BTW,how do you clean all 4 pipes on a 500.or 750 ??
to remove the pipes,lots of Solvol Autosol and new exhaust gaskets every time its out in rain !!!!!
not to mention salt in the cold weather !!!

Little bit of an update:
New suspension went in front and rear (end of july) - improvement, but still didn't feel right, especially the front end which was following every little blemish in the road, it felt dangerous - from that point I knew I had to change the tyres.
I installed the Bronze swingarm bushes last week (dead easy really) and a new set of tyres (Avon Roadriders) Just been out for a run and I can say the bikes handling is back to how I expect a bike to handle. The swingarm bushes may have helped a little, but I would say 95% of the improvement is with the tyres. I've opted for a 3.25 front and 4.0 rear. Only done about 20 miles and still running the shine off of them, but I'm happy.
The moral of the story: don't buy Continental supertwin tyres
Just got to sort the dodgy carbs now...
Nearly there, but I can't see me doing much more riding until well into next year - I've declared winter!
interesting about the tyres,I just took off a worn set of Avons,the 90/90 x 19 f.and 100/90 x 18 rear,I thought they were great,in all weathers,but, changed them for 3.25 x 19 f,and 4.00 x 18 r,Dunlop arrowmax,both sets running 29psi F,and 36 psi R , so far after about 200 mls these seem even better !! I also modded the forks to fit second disc,used ATF ,and still the original springs,nice soft and progressive,

I've used the basic Boyer since the late 70's, simple and easy to fit and set up

my first thought,
as the carb leaked initially,was it the No 4 carb?
maybe drop the floatbowl,and clean the float needle valve,
also fit a breather tube to vent the gases behind the engine

hi Neal, I am lucky,my wife bought me the mag, both bikes look good,and he write up is good as well, interesting about the Sankei pipes, wonder if they do CB500/4 pipes ?? its great to see the bikes in such good nick John
