Hi Roy

Welcome back ...sorry to here of you mates passing sounds like he has gone to the right place mate I,O,M.

Thanks for that info as just gone in and ordered both front and back Sprockets ...... did Not say anything about how long it would take to get here but at least then it should all be good............

As for the running of the bike I have sorted it and it run`s fine with no real issues so I am well pleased there is No flat spots around the 4,000 at all now but a bit of a flaff when starting up from cold on the left side but as soon as Hot No Problems, I have been playing around with the Mixture screws a lot as first time out on the over run it was popping and banging ..that turned a few heads :) but I have got it spot on now as the spark plugs are just the right Colour so Not running rich or weak....... so when I go out on it I don`t have any problems other than trying to get my head around the rev`s as at about 60 mph its doing around 6,000 revs....sounds like I am revving the guts out so to speak :) as Not used to having a bike that rev`s as high as that before.... that is one reason I wanted to put a 17 T front sprocket on to see if I bring the rev`s down,,,but Might be a bit of a tall order with going up 2 Teeth...so as I say just ordered the 15T and the 35T ...so thanks again Roy :)

Oh the Needles that I have Now got in are about 5mm longer that the ones Ash gave me to try.....they were with the bike when I got it.

Well he is just a bloke on Ebay Ash so don`t know how good he is..........as he just asked to supply the dimensions so he could check to see if they is one to match it ..... so if you can just tell me if it is flat on both sides will due I think.

Hi Ash

This is what he sent back so if you Know what he is on about can you have anther look at the sprocket please to give him the more info.

Hi, You have not said what chain pitch you have but I assume it is 530. The 4 mounting bolt holes distance apart (known as the p.c.d.) is taken from the centres of the bolt holes.
I make it 74mm centre hole as there is nothing listed with 73.7mm. The p.c.d. at 110mm with 10mm bolt holes.

Is the sprocket flat on both sides or a recessed ring on the inner face? I think it might be 280 sprocket type but I now need to check to see if this is still available.

well I might have to keep the set up then as a 15T and 35T ......... the running of the bike is fine now ..well near on anyway ..but the revs just seem to be so high :(

oh the other thing is I have been on the DSS and looked at Ashley`s parts list and they did do a 17T sprocket for the Bomber so it must have been able to run with a 17T ha

so he said if you supply me with the diameter of the centre hole and the p.c.d. with hole diameter and the number of holes and the chain pitch

well I Know it is a 530 pitch chain but Not the other bits  ;D

Hi Guys

yes it is a big ask to try the 17T front just wanted to bring the revs down as its doing about 6.000 rev`s at 55 mph so was just going to try that set up...... But ha ho can`t even get a rear sprocket..... I am Not a Rich man ..... and about a £100 + P+P for a sprocket is just Dam robbery....... Like you say Ash they must be someone doing an after market one... BUT I can`t fined one  :'(

PS, I am Not used to the high Revving Honda :)

here we go again  :-X

Well been trying all day to get a better running Bomber...... it misses sometimes and it pop`s on the over run well most of the time it doo, I have this morning taken off the cam covers and re-done the Valve clearance`s also looked again at the ign Timing checked out and re-gaped the plugs also set the mixtures using a colour tune which I got to a Nice Blue colour, the other thing I thought about is if there was a leak in the exhaust somewhere........... I still wonder if it is running rich or lean around that 1/4 throttle opening ?

Weather being kind i`ts the vintage run on sunday....But I keep Trying to sort it dont no what else to try ?  ........... don't know if its still something to do with the Kits that Ashely said about ....... and Main Jet by the way is the standard 125 ...but I have not got any bigger ones to try if it needs to go that way LOL  ;D

Hi Guy`s

Just an update..... well after it rained and I thought I would Not Take the Bomber to the show rain all cleared up by 10;00 am so my mates on there CL305 and CB77 super hawk got to the show...... had a Great day None of us won anything tho as the scooter lot seemed to win it all ( yes well what can I say :) )........... but ha ho the main thing I have to report is that the Bomber went like a dream, as the other day when I took it out it kept missing and that 4,000 rev`s problem was there............ well I messed about with the Carb`s and the plugs I had set at 30 as book say between 28 - 32 so had them at 30.....so changed them to 28, well what can I say....... I am leaving everything as it is as I say it went like a dream No missing and the 4,000rev`s  it did not even have a hiccup anywhere Now ..... so as I say if it runs well don`t fiddle ha.

cheers Mo
