I've noticed quite a few Websites where phone numbers, actual postal address are missing as well as a lack of e-mail address.
Some that have them keep them well hidden it seems with lots of navigation needed.

You ust be chuffed.
What replacement bolt will you be using? There are non OEM bolts with a larger hex. Less change to get mangled.
Thanks Jan! Yes chuffed but more relieved that I got it out OK. I havent yet thought about what replacement but a good call that some have larger bolt heads. I will also need the washer that goes between the spring and oil filter. It was either never there or I threw it out with the old (ancient) oil filter I removed. I did have a dig through the bin but didnt find anything.

Digital Speedos website is a bit crap, there's no phone number but they do have a messaging service. I've gone backwards and forwards trying to get them to answer my question about speedo cables for a cb550 but not getting a direct answer.  I'm not sure how you can operate a business with no phone number.

Yeah, bunged it up with a rubber grommet, I’ve plenty if you want one

I’ll have a look later on for you, just out wobbling around the mendips today with ‘The Long Haired General’ on the back.

If there's response by swapping the leads over (within one  oil pack) then analysis of why that could happen may give answer.

There's specific performance in the condenser relating to this (if the original system is in place) with it's ability to fire the mixture.

The opposite ends of the coil have slightly different spark characteristics,  with also the condition in cylinder from the live one to the wasted spark one maybe causing a bias to disadvantage the live cylinder on compression and give a shift in performance to that cylinder.

Swapping the leads checks for that, also the insulation of the HT too.
