took it out for the first time yesterday engine runs like a dream, small problem with front brake i keep bleeding them but just can't seem to get them right wont hold on a steep hill any advice on what the problem might be would be greatly appreciated, absolutly chucking it down so i won't be going down the seafront today.
-
If it wont lock the brake at all and no fluid is leaking at the calipers I would suspect the master seals
-
its a brand new master cylinder so it shouldnt be master seals, it looks like the piston on the calipers is pushing in and then releasinfg slightly about an 1/8"
-
:o I spend at least a full day trying to bleed a completely empty front brake system ,you need to back bleed it ,what I mean is pump the fluid and the air back through the system from the slave cylinder back up the through the master cylinder keep an eye on the pressure no more than 15 psi or you will blow the master cylinder rubbers just enough pressure to get all the air bubbles in the master cylinder . I borrowed a bleeding kit that sucks and blows off a fitter in work 8)

A bleeder that sucks and blows? Isn't that a generic term for a wife?>:D
