Any views? Says it's a k4 which I think makes it a USA bike? £4995

id say its a yankee bike paint is wrong and painted barrels. but a nice clean bike ,three grand more than id like to pay for it ,but your call that might be loose change for you.still a good bike,and twin discs aswell

It looks really nice, if the engine is good just buy it, it may be a tad overpriced but it wont be in a couple of years time!.
PS Stef, if you can find a bike like that for 2k I will give you 3k for it :)

It certainly looks clean and well kept , if it runs well and is as good as the pictures then its around about the going price of a good one,

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll keep looking. It's really a k6 I want and the garage is pretty full at the moment. I'm sure the right one will come up if I'm patient.
I opened the garage door this morning and it was the 400/4 that came out before my old fireblade and old Vfr ...these 70s bikes just get more and more addictive I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before I have to sell something and replace it with a 750
I'll keep an eye on the for sales here as well
Any other good sites to watch apart from eBay. Any views on the stuff Oxford classic Honda get in?

+1 on Oxford Classic Honda. Never bought from him but his bikes always seem to be honestly described and fair prices.
If you want a US resto project, it's worth keeping your eye out for the occasional nice import bike DK have. I bought one from there with nearly immaculate chromework that saved me an absolute fortune and hassle. Always worth a visit there and you can then haggle and wave the cash at them. The two people on Classic sales, Mark & Neil, are very approachable and always seem up for a deal, particularly if it's a bike 'waiting in the wings' pre going onto eBay for auction.

Thanks for the comments. Sold my 98 Fireblade tonight so that's some money in the piggy bank toward it.
I'll keep looking but it's difficult from Inverness as ones don't come up here often and to see ones down south is time consuming and expensive.
What would you guys estimate is the price of a good K6 nowadays - original not mint but say 8/10?

Going by what I have seen recently USA units are always quite a bit cheaper than UK units, it looks like you have to pay 3.5K to 4.5K for a very good UK bike and up to 6K for a mint UK. Down to mileage and overall condition so I have been told.
James has some good USA K6 units from time to time.

Yeah that seems to be what eBay is throwing up- £4-6k.
I think I learnt a lesson with my 400 that between parts prices and if you don't have the mechanical skills yourself it's cheaper in the long run buying the best one you can afford at the outset..
