Title: 1971 K1 CB750 Camchain Sprocket
Post by: bhudders on October 21, 2019, 07:42:10 PM
Is there a correct way to mount the sprocket looks like either of the two possible ways is the same as the sprocket looks symmetrical

The only thing that matters is, the sprocket will have mounting marks towards the cam shaft mount. If it is new then it can go on either way  ;)

Thanks I rather stupidly cleaned it so well there’s no marks leftover from how it was previously marked but I’ll look carefully tomorrow in the light of day I’m not changing the chain so it’s best to get it as it was bikes done 52k kms so should be ok cheers

Put a new chain on, at 30,000 miles the chain is on its last legs. And a worn chain and sprocket round the wong way will destroy itself very quickly  ;)
