Lined tanks are very difficult to repair try the acetone see if it softens the liner this is precisely why it shouldn’t be used you could cut the underneath of the tank open to do the job but that would require a complete repaint etc

Never line your tank it will be the last time you use the tank, when it fails and it certainly will it cannot be removed, so I recommend an acid wash with pool acid diluted 50:50 followed by neutralize with baking soda solution which should be left in the tank for 1 day

Thanks I rather stupidly cleaned it so well there’s no marks leftover from how it was previously marked but I’ll look carefully tomorrow in the light of day I’m not changing the chain so it’s best to get it as it was bikes done 52k kms so should be ok cheers

Is there a correct way to mount the sprocket looks like either of the two possible ways is the same as the sprocket looks symmetrical
