Hi All,
Yes we are all aware of the recent sale of this prototype but its getting far and wide.A mate of mine nice fellow but is in to brit bikes (sad I know) is amazed it sold for that kind of money. He also hinted that they do not understand what sandcast is and this is the Vincent forum.I am sure that we all know about how much these bikes can make But all of a sudden jap crap can be worth more.Made my day. What do you make of that guys?

Misc / Open / Flash Rust
« on: February 11, 2014, 09:13:54 AM »
Hi Guys,
When I got the bike I can not remember inside being so rusty before it was repainted. When I collected it the sprayer warned me of the rust inside didn't take much notice just removed what I could and got on with it.Read some where when its been resprayed and put in an oven to rapid dry can cause this as the heat drys the inside out causing flash rusting. Is this true?
Can anyone help as I am about to get another done and its rust free inside and if this is the case I will tell him to let it dry Naturally.

Humour / Flash git
« on: January 26, 2014, 08:09:18 PM »
This flash git went into a bar and over the other side he saw a gorgeous wench,So he got the waiter to take over a fine bottle of wine with a note saying she could join him any time she wished. She returned the bottle and a note saying unless you have a porche, Lamborghini, Harley a fat wallet and a 7 inch waggler forget it.The git sent another note saying I am mega rich have a massive garage full off exotic bikes and cars but there is no way I am cutting off 2 inches for you.

Recommended Sources for Parts and Services / Tank sprayers
« on: January 12, 2014, 02:22:24 PM »
Hi Guys,
Recently got my hands on a near rust free tank. What I want is your recommendations from guys that have used who they suggest and what your thoughts are. Here in France I know a good man but because of the situation here his prices are sky high so I am thinking use a good Brit firm.Example I can buy a bike bench with postage from the UK  for 2 thirds of the price here and that's without post.It does have a couple of silly little dents to repair but apart from that no problems.Ideas please expected cost etc.

Hi Guys,
Don't know if its a bad day but since put away for winter at the end of Nov pulled the covers off today and was shocked to see rust appearing in all places.Spent all day as its been nice today just DE dusting, rusting, chipped paint and generally polishing her up.After a couple of hours was seriously considering stripping her all down and start again.I know this place is well known for humidity dust etc but I think after 2 years of frackin about just want to ride not keep doing this crap.Is it the same for you guys in the UK? Examples throttle cables rusting springs of any sort rusting and anything previously polished after long hours looks like you have to do it again. Is it just me? All I can remember back in the days of riding in all weathers was once a month strip down wash off all and polish and away you go again.I am convinced its an age thing when your 20 or so didn't give a shit now I do.Have I answered my own question you old gits?

Hi Guys,
The greedy boys are out for Xmas just seen a set of 300s new in boxes for 3100.00 euros.I know France has always been expensive but this is taking the proverbial.I hope the bastards never sell them and they rot away over the years.Sorry for sounding so bad but these people wherever they are are killing (for me) the classic bike game.

Misc / Open / cb750 wiring loom
« on: December 10, 2013, 11:15:17 AM »
Hi Guys,
Just wondered if any one has bought a new loom recently.I did and fitted it yesterday with little problem as switch gear slightly different for the loom. After all connected and working there was 2 wires left over blue and orange same as for the winkers and I gave them a slight tug and they came right out of the harness about a foot long. After I closed her all up, all still works so I just scratched my head and thought WTH.Any one else come across this or did they just ignore the left overs?
Cheers
