CB500/550 / CB500 four K0 ????

I don't know if any one has seen this on ebay but, what is it ?. The seller recons it is a 500K0 but, the headlight brackets, right hand handlebar switch are K1 and one of the pictures show the helmet holder at the front ? The K0 helmet holder is part of the seat catch so, it looks to be a 500K1 frame .

Is this someone trying to pass it off as a K0 or the seller just doesn't know what the bike is ?

I have been fortunate to own two of these now. The first one a did about 6 years ago and i was lucky to pick another one up.
I have spent a bit of time on this and it has more Honda NOS parts which include , Clocks, seat, headlight bracket, switch gear, headlight and so on. Just waiting on the tank and panels to come back from the painter and she will be finished.

Other Bikes / Honda CD250 Reg cock up

As a lot of member are aware that i love these little Honda CD250's. There is one on Ebay that has been registered as an E reg. E was 01-08-1987 to 31-07-1988.
The Honda CD250 was released in the UK on the 01-08-1988 so, all are F reg onwards

I remember these NTV's very well as we had a couple of them as courtesy bikes when i had the bike shop. Nice bike which was the Successor of the VT500 and the CX500 before.

Spotted this one on ebay with only 580 since 1993

Was searching about for some parts this morning and found the same part number is half the price on DSS USA site compared to his UK site 18 dollars to £27.43

CB750 / UK CB750K2 that is not right

The CB750 K2 UK unit is a lovely bike but, at this price it should be totally correct .

1) Wrong forks
2) wrong brake arm
3) wrong front mudguard
4) Wrong L/H switch gear
5) R/H switch looks wrong but, can't see properly
6) No Sprocket cover
9) Aftermarket clutch lever
10) Most fasteners are wrong
11) And most properly more

Buyer beware !

I have always said, that there is restoration and then there is restoration

If someone is going to restore a bike to original condition it, should look like a original bike. And of some weird reason this seller thinks he has done a top job.

I came across this heap while keeping me eye out for very rare CD250 parts which for some strange reason i like to collect

CB750 / CB750K6 Parts list

Anyone out in SOHC land have a CB750K6 parts book. Looking for the part number for the bottom yoke.
The K6 has a unique bottom yoke that has a different housing for the steering lock and can't find the P/N anywhere.

CB500/550 / Diode problem maybe

I have been going through some stock bike that need to be ready and put up for sale. Pulled a CB550F2 UK bike out and linked it up to a battery, everything works apart from the starter motor will not turn over. Changed the solenoid 3 times and still nothing

Then i clicked that this unit has the clutch operated switch , Pulled the clutch lever and pressed the start button and the solenoid and starter motor are fine. So what we have is the neutral light is on and will go out when selecting gears but, still have to pull the clutch lever to get the solenoid to engage.

Had a look at the wiring diagram and it points out that it has a diode. The problem is i can't find any such diode or even the wires for a diode.

Help needed as I am shite at wiring
