CB500/550 / Wiring expert for my CB550
« on: June 26, 2022, 01:30:47 PM »
Hello!
I recently installed a digital speedo on my cb 550 and after while the tail light stopped working (not the brake). I tried to fix it and as a result now the starter and the dashboard are not working either!
I have been trying to resolve it myself and I found it it above my knowledge and skills.

Does anyone know someone who can come to my place in south east London to have a look at the wiring of my CB550?

Thanks in advance

CB500/550 / Knowledgable mechanic or Garage in London for my CB550F
« on: November 27, 2019, 08:43:07 AM »
Hi guys,
Last year I bough my first CB550. I though it would have been a dream but sadly I have had a lot of mechanical and electrical problems. I went to two different garages that basically robbed me taking advantage that I am not an expert and at the end of the day I have spent a lot of money for nothing. I still have a bike that I like but it’s not reliable as it broke down too many times leaving me in the middle of the road.

Do you know a great garage or mechanic in London that can have a thorough look at my bike?

Thanks in advance!

Ale

CB500/550 / South London reliable mechanic to solve these issues?
« on: February 19, 2019, 12:09:51 PM »
Hi guys,
Does anyone know a good mechanic that can solve this issues on my cb550?
South London, zone 2/3 possibly. I live in Tulse Hill.

- battery goes flat all of a sudden after starter stops working. Regulator rectifier is faulty but I am not sure that this is the only reason

-overflow hose leaking gas from one carb bowl

-hose from airbox plenum leaking gas heavily

I am not an expert at all, there could be more problems behind..

Thanks for any tips!

CB500/550 / Any suggestion for a disk lock that fits?
« on: December 01, 2018, 08:58:44 PM »
Hi guys. I’ve just bought a XENA xx15 for my cb550. I was quite confident it could fit having the throat 60mm deep (my disc is 55mm). Sadly the steel connections between the rotor and the wheel have tight holes and stops the XENA too early  and I cannot close it. Any suggestion on how to solve the problem? Thanks in advance!

CB500/550 / Kreem disaster... what am I going to do?
« on: November 21, 2018, 08:39:28 AM »
Hi guys!
I did a complete disaster with the Kreem liner. It’s my first motorbikes abd I am a newbie... please be patient with me!

There are loads of conversation about it on internet but I want to ask you an advice on this specific case. I basically didn’t drain the excess completely out as the petcok filter remained inside.

My tank on one side now look like in the picture.

I would like to ask you if once completely dried there’s no risk for my tank or I think would be better to remove the liner completely with acetone?

Thanks in advance
