What is it? / Seat cover
« on: September 09, 2016, 08:05:28 PM »
I bought this sometime ago as a replacement seat for a CB750K. The base is solid, in very good condition and does fit the early 750K. What a can't work out is what model the seat pattern belongs to, Anyone got any ideas? It looks to be a original cover.

« on: June 30, 2016, 10:10:13 PM »
Why do people put ads on fleabay that bikes are Original condition, when clearly they are not >>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201613786483?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Wrong front indicator stems, grab rail, forks, engine (at least the head) and the list goes on  >:(

Other Bikes / Part number cross ref
« on: June 13, 2016, 08:03:47 AM »
I am in need of some HELP, trying to cross reference a part number and keeps coming up blank.
It is a handle bar weight with part number 53105-KT7-010  (superseded) . I know that Honda never made a part just for one model ( well, maybe a few) so, if anyone can come up with a model list on this part would be a great help.

CB750 / Secrets of a CB750 early K
« on: June 07, 2016, 07:50:42 AM »
I have many people state that the oil jet is part of the head on a Sandcast, Diecast and K0's. But, I have been removing these for years to be cleaned out properly. They are a well engineered part of the head and come with a strainer on the back and a nipple facing up. If the jet has no nipple, this means that someone had drilled it out before, trying to unblock it.
This can cause many problems as the swarf then sits in the strainer or the drill has gone through the whole part.
Here is a couple of pics:

Does anyone know a good supplier in the UK for head sealing rubbers ? Need about 50 and not going to pay DSS prices  >:(
For some strange reason most of the gasket manufactures have stopped putting them in the gasket sets.

CB750 / unfinished project
« on: February 19, 2016, 04:00:59 PM »
Looks to me that unfinished project's are making better money than a fully restored bike. Was wondering were I have been going wrong in all these years >>> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB750-K6-Classic-motorcycle-1976-/222025005442?hash=item33b1b8b982:g:vyMAAOSwKtVWwhw~

« on: February 15, 2016, 06:15:23 PM »
Over the years I have had some right slanging matches with ebay sellers but, I received this PM from a young entrepreneur who will go far. As in the subject, Best Ebay PM ever:

Good afternoon Graham,

I trust you're having a nice weekend. Thank you very much for purchasing the Honda CD250U brochure from me and for your extremely swift payment - THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

The brochure is currently with my logistics division (my dad) where it is being packaged up ready for dispatch to what is possibly the quaintest address I have ever sent my brochures to!!!

Thank you again Graham and enjoy what is left of the weekend.

Kind regards

Rob.

CB750 / Confusing numbers K6
« on: February 14, 2016, 08:04:18 PM »
Just picked up another CB750K6 UK unit, so 3 now and, the numbers are getting confusing.
Date of reg 07/10/1976 with VIN 25783.. (this is a totally original bike)
Date of reg 11/03/1977 with VIN 25786..
Date of reg 01/07/1979 with VIN 25766..

I am confused as the 1979 one could be a late reg but, on the V5 it states; (DECL/D MANUF 1979) All are UK Units but, not understanding the 1979 unit, as it has a VIN number before the 1976 one. Can anyone throw any light on this ?
