Post by: Nurse Julie on July 09, 2019, 10:56:10 AM
I was rummaging around on Tinternet for something totally different and found this which may be of use if you are having charging probs. I will also post it in Anoraks Corner.

Just a note to anyone who is not familiar with Multi meters in the charging test, when you switch from volts to Amps this reading is taken in series with the battery lead.
Make sure the meter leads are good for the 7-8 Amps ;)

I have no doubt you are 100% correct Paul. It's a dark art combined with Witchcraft as far as I'm concerned 😪😪😪😪😪

I bloody hope so Ross. I have given up asking him if he has found the problem......he goes a sort of purple colour with steam coming out of his ears  ::) ::) ::). TBH, I think he has sorted it, I have been riding it recently with no issues, so fingers crossed.

Or use a clamp meter to check the current.  You don't have to break into the circuit and you won't need heavy duty meter leads.
