Hi,
Removed the sump on the 550 K3 yesterday and found this broken bit. Can anyone help me with its identification.

Hi All,
As the switchgear for the K3 is discontinued and virtually impossible to get hold of can anyone confirm that this is the same as the 400/4 except the connectors on the end. These are quite easily obtainable and should be quite easy to convert, just not sure if everything else is the same.
Thanks

Hi all,
Has anyone found a plug socket to fit cylinders 2 and 3 or does it need to be a box spanner !! My socket will not go past the head cover.

It depends on how many coats you intend putting on there. I did mine with a couple of coats and 500ml with thinners was ample for this. I used more lacquer but put several coats on.

Get some new cord and make some new ones far cheaper. Cord can be easily obtained on eBay.

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good chrome plating company in the Sheffield area. Someone told me Prestige plating in Barnsley, I found a number for them but no one answers.
Cheers

Hi all, New to the UK forum but been on the US one for some time. I have recently finished the restoration of a CB400 4 F1 and moved onto my latest restoration a 78 CB550 K3 (77 model by the frame/engine No's). I am looking for any information on the paint (Excel Black) I believe, has anyone found a match for this if so have you got a paint code.
Regards,
