Humour / money saving ideas
« on: January 31, 2023, 02:15:35 PM »
a really miserly chap goes into a pub, sitting beside him at the bar was a very attractive woman. they strike up a conversation in which she reveals that she is a high class prostitute, intrigued he asks what her services and prices are. my god he thought, thats expensive, cheekily he asks what is her what is her cheapest service is. ' well i can give you a hand job for £10' she replies, the man thinks for a moment, then a smirk appears on his face, smug with the fact in the last 7 days he's saved £210 by going down the DIY route

« on: January 08, 2021, 01:52:02 PM »
i was thinking about rebuilding a 400f engine a few years back, started collecting bits and pieces, on thing unobtainable was the primary chain guides. it appears i was put on the CMS "let you know when it becomes available list". just got an Email from them to say they are back in stock again, £14 each though, thought it might interest any prospective engine rebuilders

I am of an age now where intended projects are'nt going to happen, i have no regrets in having to "relocate my store of parts", the house move has given me the impetus to take this action. The big wrench will be when the bike goes, i have lavished, time, love and a lot of cash into it!

re above, better results with "honda cb400 f stainless steel", dropping the 'our' out of four seems to give a better option!

CB350/400 / other bikes. Honda ftr223
« on: January 25, 2019, 06:42:47 PM »
I got my 400f up and running after a 2 year build, great for open roads but not a town runabout. I got an Asian market only Honda ftr223 'Flat tracker', great small, simple bike. Parts are readily available, so far so good,  i need to renew the fork seals, no matter who i ask no one can tell me how much oil the front forks take. Contacted  Honda UK, referred me to my local dealer who the told me to contact Honda UK, brick wall!  New workshop manual £193, s/h from £100 and in Japanese only.  with all the experience the people on this forum have, can anyone suggest a solution, contacts in Japan etc.  appreciate any suggestions.
