Hi all, I`ve seen a 1972 Honda CB250 advertised for sale locally for the ridiculous sum of

If it is complete and in reasonable condition, then that's a good price.
If any chrome or bodywork is missing, it's a moneypit!

Is that a silly price? I've got a CB350 1972 which is a runner but no MOT at moment, very ratty. I'm sure they are only worth anything if everything is spotless and I think all the shiny bits are very costly to replace. I've never been tempted to restore it because I think it would cost more than it is worth.
I do have loads of engine spares if you do decide to buy it.

Haven`t had the chance to even look at it never mind buy it!!!
Having recently moved to the area and bought a home, I seem to live and breathe D-I-Y, and job seek. Poor bikes haven`t had a look in, I even found out last week that the K3`s MOT ran out in October. Plus I can`t fit anything else in my garage at the moment, it`s full of boxes, central heating parts and re-wire bits, and plasterboard, and new doors, and everything associated with old house doing-up!
I`ve also thought about buying a T.A.G for if or when I find work. The traffic here in Taunton is horrific, 40 minutes to go 8 miles. Although I`ve seen quite a few `older` bikes about, a Morini 3 1/2 and a lovely dark green late 750/4.
When I get 5 minutes to spare I`ll give the number a ring and see if it`s still for sale and find out the general condition. If it`s too far gone then I won`t be interested.

Traffic into Taunton is terrible. I avoid the place if I can. I'm in the opposite direction and the traffic here is mostly a couple of tractors.

If you think Taunton is bad for traffic, try going into or out of Exeter at rush hour, the only way you can move is on 2 wheels! >:(

Never have a problem in the Artic----But then it's usualy 2am

Last time I went that way on the 500/4 outfit I gave in and pulled over onto the grass verge for a 1 hour picnic and rest break. In that time the van I was behind moved 200 yards. by 1 hour 20 mins I rejoined a near empty road. Talk about rush hour, though not much of a rush tbh.

Been to look at the 250 tiddler today.......think that I`ll be giving it a miss. It`s all there, but it`s the state of everything that puts me off. He`s desperate to sell though. It was advertised at
