Thanks for the info Bryanj very helpful

I always prefer to ask the personal knowledge of people first and consult the books also, so all very appreciated indeed.

Carbs/inlet rubbers i have are excellent and running single pod filters.

and thank the sweet lord for Carb tune!

On David silver,

green and brown bearing shells, explanation?

Oil drain bolt and washer, are the these the two drain points at the front of the engine? look like tappet cover only smaller and made of very soft ally with a sealing o ring. the ones on mine did not survive the removal and i shall need some new ones.

cheers in advance
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hello everyone.

Jim here, based in london E17

doing a cb550 k3 cafe racer project.

Just finished a gixer fighter but was lured by the honda dark side to build a fookin cool racer of which she will be named waterworld in homage to the terrible Kevin Costner film which just ate money.  ;D

I will probably need stupid amounts of help and answers to many stupid questions for which i apologize for know.

I like beer and cakes.

Super.
 ;)
