Hi...I have a 1977 C550 F1 (made in 76). I have found this on eBay:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F391573891719
Would this fit my bike ok? Everything else is standard.
Thanks!

The hinge and the pin should line up, but it will interfere with the grab rail I think.

Will not fit right and the same seat cheaper price >>> https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB550K3/part_28994/
You may find a member that has a K3 with a F seat that may want to swap seats ;)

Moreover it will look awful. The original is sportier than the one for the K3/4 which model was marketed as tourbike.

Thanks for the advise guys. I did look at David Silver, but they were out of stock a while ago. Thanks!

Not sure if DSS has upgraded the seat pans to metal. Had a plastic one some years ago that used to squeak all the time ;)

do you have a k3 seat this seat is on my k3 and I’m told by a reliable source it is off an f it isn’t perfect I can take some better pictures if you would be interested in swapping maybe

Hi 3scs....I would love to swap, but unfortunately mine is a non standard lowered seat that you probably wouldn't be interested in. See attached pic.
If not, (https://i.postimg.cc/Y9vKs3Vm/00000-PORTRAIT-00000-BURST20180608135912176.jpg) would you be willing to sell your seat and put the money towards another?

Nice looking bike your right lowered seat would be no good for me I’ve promised my seat to someone else on here if I’m selling it sorry

No probs :)

When I bought a CB550K3 as a commuter it came with a sportier seat

But as Mrs.Yoshi is a bit of a short@rse I fitted the seat to her CB550F2

And fitted the F2 seat to the K3
