My direct problem is that my wee little beastie has been in bits several times over her time on Earth and I think the last 'restoration' was done by someone with less mechanical sympathy than I appear to be displaying. Example, when I took the air filter box apart I carefully took pics so I knew which bolts came from where. When I put it back together, I worked out that the short bolts were in the long holes and vice versa.
So knowing where things 'should' be is kind of necessary at this stage. The Haynes book is sometimes good, the odd unexpected page where I can see the bit in the background is useful. But to have a proper colour zoomable pic would be fantastic. :)

That is a lovely offer I'd like to take you up on, but would you believe I don't have anywhere I can shove a CD now! I could reimburse you for a USB stick - but I appreciate the level of effort is an order of magnitude more and I'll accept a short "no." to the suggestion!

waffey, might you be able to dump them into a dropbox storage folder, or google photos, or some other such, for viewing or download? I wouldn't mind taking a look myself, and they might be helpful to many more...

Mine is basically complete but there are plenty of issues that look like previous owners have botched etc so any photos etc would be much appreciated.
When I get to pulling mine down I will certainly be taking lots of pics and will be happy to share as well.

I am not sure you would be able to get much detail from any of those pics to assist in assembly etc.

There is also Google Photos... you can store your pics on there and just create an album.. then you can share that album. That might be the easiest way.. then you also get a Cloud backup of your pics :)

Quick and easy for anyone with the link to download the whole lot, too - great for the rest of us if you want to share, but something to consider if you want to keep a tight rein on your snaps...

You can share it with specific people but for what we are talking about I think it is possibly the best way to share hi res pics on our projects.

The dropbox link will bring you to a folder, which you can download all at once - you'll get a .zip file of about 44Mb. Or view and download individual pics.
They're basically front, left side, right side, and top. I took a few angles of the left side ones, especially the electrics behind the left side cover...

Thanks Mattsz, interesting photo of the cable retaining bracket located under the rubber tank bung at the headstock. I wondered at the orientation of this as the manual does not show it properly and now I know 👍.

Seems like I'm missing a shi*load of brackets for the loom to go through, so I'm going to catalogue them tonight and put an order in before I connect much more.Most of the loom fixings are actually part of the frame, ie, tabs etc welded to the frame so don't have a part number as cannot be purchased separately 😭

It's kind of hard to see in this photo, it's been smooshed down by the seat. I assume that's the "wire clip" mentioned on page 17, step 50, in the dealer setup instructions? It seems pretty big to hold just a few wires, and anyway the right side doesn't have one (the helmet holder is there). It's very flimsy, and feels like it will break right off if I twisted it back into position.
Do I have it right?
EDIT: not sure why sometimes my thumbnails appear sideways - but a click on the photo to zoom in shows it up-side-up...

The tab is flexible but quite strong. I have just bent mine out straight and back up again, all ok.

When you take a picture on a phone, it automatIcally shows it the correct way up. If you view it on a phone (via TapaTalk for example), The same happens.
If you view the post on a PC it is not auto rotated.
Just shows that phones are cleverer than PCs
