Kifer.
Bought her of ebay covered in mud leaked oil and a real basket case back in 2005.Only got it because I could not find a 750.Anyway decided total refit Guards, wheels, paint job, exhaust system etc.Engine was remarkably good did shells chains the usual.Took me ages to get the carbs right but at the end of it bloody good CB400/4.In those days DSS had most of the genuine bits.In the end it was too small for me so flogged it to a wealthy guy who owned a champagne vine yard he was going to give it to his missus as he had a 750/4 and that was the end of her. After all the layout probably made 500 quid on her but it was great fun restoring it.

Suzuki GS550
Paid 50 squid for it bought of a ex copper who FELL asleep on it .Spent next to nothing on it got it back to reasonable condition and flogged it to a french chef who is still riding it about today.

Both of these bikes have been re registered in France now after being exported here.

Hope you enjoy

Hi Guys.
I am intrigued by this I assume no longer available?God that would help me with a tiny leak from a cam holder bolt coming down by a centre plug. When I was biking alot in the 70s I had not heard of this kit.Can someone enlighten me when it came about and how much?
Also like to see photo when finished.

Kifer.
If the relay is clicking continuously try earthing the relay body to ground. If your relay is mounted like mine there will be 3 spaded wires Black,Grey and Green.Modern relays only have 2 connectors now green wire omitted.
Hope this helps

Hi All,

I have been offered a double disc kit for my CB750 k6.Just wondered what its worth appears to be in good condition.I am not fussed either way as I prefer my bike to be standard but if its cheap who knows.
Cheers

Hi all Bikers.
Found a supplier for the good old Honda,s they are in New Zealand their web site is a bit out of date but seem a good source and reasonably priced.New rear brake pedal CB750 with shipping to France 130 NZ dollars about 67 quid not bad I think.

Kifer.
You are not alone on this one. With me its the speedo and its new, one day OK next real slow but it does seem to fix itself with more riding. The nylon gears in the clock become dry.I have heard some people put a drop of oil in them but not to much or it will go onto the face.I have not done this so no guarantees.Maybe yours will fix itself in time.

Hi Guys,

Just an update, now its finally warm enough to work on I fitted new Honda needles airscrews to 1 and a bit re synced carbs blasted down road and everything seems to be spot on.The hesitation has gone and she goes like the clappers.I have done over 70 miles on it now and maybe I am over reacting but the plugs still look the same, grayish and going from 110 jets to 115 seems to make no difference to the colour.I am still open to any suggestions. On a different note when building the engine was finished and first started I had oil dribbling down by the plugs and thought crap the rubbers over head bolts would be the problem but no some bozo had helicoiled 2 threads where the cam caps bolt down and had drilled into the cavity above the plugs and how I do not know the oil was running down the bolts and into the plug area.Thread sealant cured this problem.Something to look at when you are re fitting head etc.
Best Regards
