As per my other post - 'Bludy Lump', a few weeks ago, I had the feedback on my brain tumour and its not good! Stage 4 Glioblastoma 'wild' tumour with possibly as little as 12 months life expectancy.
Anyway, the purpose of this post is I need to get rid of all the 750 and 500 ' sparesthat will come in handy some day'. Mostly 750 engine, electrics, clocks spares. Some 500 spares inc early and post K2 fork ears which are pretty good really. They are all free. Maybe a donation to the forum? However, due not being able to drive and daily trips to Christie's hospital for treatment, the spares are pick up only I'm afraid. Shame to go in the tip - which as my wife/kids havn't got a clue what they are and will skip them anyway. I'll post some pictures via tapatalk - theres also plastic containers full of bits that I havn't taken pictures of.]
Collection from Wigan, North West - message me or call me on 07793750144 (will answer except when in treat)

As I'm not that far from you Phil I'll pop over and pick up any spare 500/550 parts, at least that way I'll save them being binned. They'll still be in circulation in case someone needs them in the future.
Really don't know what to say Phil, not the outcome we all on here wanted to hear. My sympathy for such earth shattering news.
Let me know when it's convenient.
-
Best wishes to you. A very generous gesture.
-
Sorry to hear that, if Ken does not want any 500/550 bits i will ask my nephew to pick up.
-
Blimey!! Really sorry to hear that Phil, what an absolute bummer. Wishing the very best for you and your family.
-
So very sad to read your prognosis Phil.
-
Very sad to read this post Phil. Maybe a chance of a trial drug? Hopefully you will get some sort of treatment even to buy you time!
-
So sorry to hear your news Phil. Best wishes to you and your family.
-
So sorry, that's obviously not what anybody wants to hear. Best wishes to you and your family and take care.
-
That's terrible news Phil, I can only add to what others have said, hang in there and best wished to you and the family.

Thanks for your concerns and well wishes everyone. I'm trying a diet based on several pre clinical trials that has had good results. Cutting out an amino acid called arginine that the cancer cell 'gorges; on The cancer cell then tries to find it from other sources, changes its form and is attacked by the immune system - that the theory anyway. Worth a try as nothing to lose!

Get on it Phil

Everything is worth trying Phil, hopefully it will fight it.

Jesus Phil - only just seen this. I’m so sorry about your prognosis. You seem to be tackling it head-on and pragmatically; I just hope you manage to buy as much time as possible. This is a really nice gesture. Take care of yourself mate. James

Oh no Phil ... it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we were in regular contact regarding your CB350K0 resto. Really stuck for words other than if you ever feel like a chat sometime, please give me a call. Good also that you thought of us regarding spare parts...nothing I really need but they will surely will benefit other members here.
-
So sorry to hear this Phil, what you seem to have on your side is a positive attitude, that's as important as any treatment!
-
Best wishes Phil - I'm really sorry to hear this.
-
Sad news indeed Phil. You know where we are if you need any help.

I can only echo what others have said, fight on , you never know, they can do amazing things these days.
My big brother has not long ago had a lengthy spell of radio therapy for lung cancer, following an operation for bowel cancer and he is still pulling through.
All of my bike parts and dismantled bikes ending up in a skip when I pass is one of my worries, it would be such a waste, glad to see that you are sorting that out and doing it in a very generous way.
Keep on fighting

Really awful prognosis Phil. Our neighbour came to our door well over two years ago with a similar prognosis for C in back of head/spinal chord. He was going for radiotherapy every day for what seemed a year or more. Still with us and with less regular treatment now and in the garden all the time and cleaning his cars that he can't drive.
Very good of you thinking of the forum to free you of bits and raise some money here.
I see your avatar is going to auction.
Best wishes Phil

Don't give up and don't take a backward step Phil. I was given 1 to possibly 4 years, now on 12 years 4 months and I do keep count. Nothing is
set in stone. Stay strong it's not the easiest of rides.
-
Very sorry to hear your news Phil and thank you for your kind and thoughtful offer. Im just up the road so let me know if ever you think I can help with anything. Hang in there Phil.

I agree with previous comments about not giving up on living - easy words to type but harder in reality to stay positive as the worst case scenario creeps into our thoughts.
Quite a few of us on here are living on borrowed time - even Consultants do not know how much sand we have left in the hour glass known as Life. All we can do is our best to live it whilst we still can. All the best for 2024 Phil.

Thanks for all your well wishes - as part of the fight, I've enrolled with https://www.aheadofthegamefoundation.com/our-story
By chance a member also messaged me recommending the same site, as he had worked with the person who curred himself with alternative therapy who has now started a free to use charity that has got lottery funding - worth a go (coincidently he was also featured on the local ITV news channel last week)

Let's all hope it's successful Phil.
I'll contact you next week and arrange a time to come up.
My missus is pretty ill at the moment and I don't want to leave her alone at the moment or I'd have been up this weekend.
-
Good on ya Phil! Definately worth following up.

Don't worry Ken, they are not going anywhere so don't leave your wife until it's convenient
