If the fuel leaks that high it suggests for a start that the drain tubes in the float bowls are blocked and the only reason for fuel to do that is incorrect float heights and or leaky float valves

Just extending the fork tubes would lift the front of the engine and that bike looks like it is level

Its a risk but you can helicoil using a well greased slow drill and well greased tap to collect swarf then leave the plug out and start engine to blow out any residual. Way back when we would offer the customer the option as if it didn't work OK the engine still had to come out. Over 60% time worked OK

It's only new plates that need ID etc, if its been on there for years (wink, wink) it does not need a suppliers ID etc

If it clearly gives the year you should be OK BUT DVLA keep it so I sent a hi res copy and they didn't notice, although this may not be legal and i cannot condone that of course.

The switch you have is not a 400 four but a 400 twin one and as you have found the kill switches work totally different. As long as you know about it the fact it has to be turned off to run could be an anti theft deterent

Below is a copy of part of the testers manual, there is a link to the full manual somwhere on the site. As you will see it depends on the year of your bike but if any are fitted ALL must be fitted AND WORK Exemptions If direction indicators are fitted they must meet the requirements of this inspection, but need not be fitted to a machine which cannot exceed 30mph / 50kph, or was first used before 1 August 1986, or ‘off road’ motor bicycles that are designed to carry only the rider ‘off road’ motor bicycles with side car designed to carry the rider and one passenger in the side car. ‘Off road’ motor bicycles are constructed or adapted primarily for use off road (whether by reason of its tyres, suspension, ground clearance or otherwise).

its hard to describe but there is a small "tang" under the cable nipple that needs bending down so you can slide the nipple down till you can wangle the cable out the slot-----still prefer my first answer!!!!
