Hi.
I'm about to service my 550F2 and in the Haynes Manual it says that the sump plate should be removed and the oil strainer removed and cleaned.
Is this a big job? Can it be done without removing the exhaust system? Does it involve lots of swearing?
Is it worth doing?

Dave, I think mick will agree with me that it

i think you can drop the sump without taking the exhaust off, and its worth doing believe me :-[, cheers mick

Hi mate
easiest job going. Once the oil's drained (idle the bike for a short spell to warm the oil first), you can drop the sump straight out and the filter's easy to reach (right where the sump was)
