After 1.5yrs rebuilding my first ever motorcycle and a learning wall more than a learning curve I have completed (I know they are never finished) my interpretation of a mild cafe 550F. It's covered the princely sum of 18 miles so far before being tucked up for the winter. These 18 miles showed me I needed to do something with the standard foot peg layout when using clubman bars (and being 6ft4),so I took the plunge and have for some Raask rearsets which on the face of it make the riding position much more less uncomfortable. Everything else seems to be working as it should with the exception of it running rather rich, but that will be sorted when I've actually taken it out for a proper run over distance and not just round the block. Last piece to fit is the front mudguard.

Thats a cute bike, well done. Loving the use of the small logo on the side panels and the tank badges are ace. Bet youre dead chuffed, I would be. :)

Actually, the more I look at it the more I like it. It’s immaculate. It’s a 77 F2 too, the best of the 550s.

That’s a very interesting looking bike. Some nice work gone on there, all credit to you. Sorry but your wings on the side panel is pointing the wrong way but that’s just the OCD in me.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, and yes there has been alot of hard work and I've really enjoyed it. Even the bits I messed up and had redo two or three times!
Just can't wait to get it out on a good run now to see if it all stays together and setup properly. I'm sure I will be asking for more advice as I go.
I know it's a bit different and not to everyone's taste but it's an image I've had in my head for a long time and I'm really pleased with the results. It can in theory still be converted back to stock fairly easily as nothing has been cut off or modified that can't be undone.

I had a friend do the tank paintwork, that was something I wouldn't tackle in my garage. He's a very tal8bloke and treats every project like it's his own.

Thanks, I'm glad it's growing on you and I wanted an F and specifically a 77 as it was the year I was born, so this bike is from what I can see almost exactly 1 month younger than me!

Yes indeed, engine/carbs/frame all match as they should so hopefully I can get it jetted properly as it's got the four into one exhaust and a single k&n filter on a 3d printed adapter into the standard airbox I had the R&D guys at work make me. Time will tell.
